Birth Doula

Services includes 3-5 prenatal meetings including birth plan planning, labor, delivery and recovery support, 2 postpartum visits and telephone availability from time of hire

Comprehensive Course 

If you desire an unmedicated birth, are first-time parents, or are preparing for a VBAC, this class will prepare you on all levels- physically, mentally, and emotionally. This class includes all the modules from all of our classes, including our breastfeeding course.

10 weeks, 2.5 hour per session

Hospital Birth Course

Designed for those who want more than a typical hospital class offers. Includes more relaxation and coping techniques. Topics include testing and interventions, as well as unmedicated and cesarean births.

6 weeks course, 2.5 hours per session

Out of Hospital Birth Course

If you are planning to have your birth at home or at a freestanding birth center, this class will give you the nuts and bolts of labor as well as coping techniques. Learn what happens before, during, and afterbirth, as well as variations of labor so you are able to make informed decisions as your birth unfolds.

5 weeks, course, 2.5 hours per session

Express Class

Topics include basic nutrition and exercise to stay healthy and low-risk. Topics include what to expect during labor, epidurals, and cesarean sections. Coping techniques, comfort measures, and writing a birth plan are covered in this workshop.

1 day, 7 hours plus a 1 hour lunch break

Comfort Measures Workshop

Designed to build confidence for the big day! You will take in lots of relaxation, comfort measures, massage, imagery, as well as communication skills for labor. This workshop is a compliment to, but does not replace the comprehensive course.

Homecoming Workshop

Welcome to your new recruit! This is your manual to early parenthood. Topics include newborn procedures, baby wearing, safe sleep, postpartum topics, and baby comfort techniques to get off to a great start! This workshop includes the breastfeeding course, a video course given by an IBCLC instructor.

Refresher Class

This workshop is for your second (or third or fourth) birth. This class is tailored just for you to address your particular concerns and needs for your subsequent births.

Sibling Class

The tone for the growing family starts by the way we approach birth as a family. When children are included in the preparation for childbirth with their own class, they see the coming baby as a celebration. This is designed for children 3 and up. More than one child may attend for an additional charge.

1.5-2 hours depending on the age of the child(ren).
